Apple has launched the 2026 series of Mac mini models, with the price starting at $899.99 (MHQK4LL/A) this time around for the base variant, which comes with the Apple M6 chip, 16GB Unified Memory, and 256GB SSD storage. Other models include MHQL4LL/A (Price: $1,099.99), MHQM4LL/A ($1,299.99), and MHQN4LL/A ($1,699.99 — powered by the M5 Pro chip).
At the time of writing, Amazon US has listed all the above models for pre-order. The official release date is set for September 22, 2026. Pre-ordered customers would get their Mac minis shipped on that date only.

This base model is powered by the new Apple M6 chip, which has a 12-core CPU featuring 2 super cores, 4 performance cores, and 6 efficiency cores. It is equipped with a 12-core GPU and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. It is capable of providing 153GB/s memory bandwidth.
Since the Apple M1 series computers, Apple has been using Unified Memory on its devices. This model gets the same treatment. It comes with 16GB Unified Memory and a 256GB SSD drive.
The 2026 Mac mini MHQK4LL/A model with the new Apple M6 chip can support up to three external displays using Thunderbolt and HDMI ports:

On the front of the Mac mini MHQK4LL/A, there are two USB-C ports (supporting USB 3 at up to 10Gb/s) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. At the rear, it has a 2.5Gb Ethernet port (configurable to 10Gb Ethernet), an HDMI port, and three Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports supporting Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40Gb/s), USB 4 (up to 40Gb/s), and DisplayPort.
For wireless connectivity, Apple uses its own Apple N1 wireless networking chip with support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 6.
