Asus has launched the 2026 ROG (XG27JCEG) 27″ 5K HDR Fast IPS Gaming Monitor in the US online. The price starts at $599.00 (ASUS Store Launch Price). At the time of writing, Amazon US has listed this model as coming soon — it should come in stock in a couple of weeks, probably. Stay tuned for the availability update.
ASUS ROG (XG27JCEG) features a 27-inch 5K resolution display with a native pixel resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels. It supports a peak HDR brightness of 400 nits and a regular max brightness of 350 nits.
Thanks to this being an IPS panel, it offers good viewing angles — 178°/178°. The HDR max contrast ratio it supports is 100,000,000:1, while the Contrast Ratio (Typ.) is 1500:1. The response time supported is 0.3ms (GTG, min).
It supports VRR technologies such as FreeSync™ Premium & G-SYNC® Compatible. It comes with ROG Gaming A.I. Technology features such as Dynamic Shadow Boost, Dynamic Crosshair, and AI Visual, offering a better competitive gaming experience for the user.
The typical refresh rate the ROG (XG27JCEG) monitor supports is 80Hz. With the help of Frame Rate Boost Technology, you can switch from 5K 80Hz native to QHD resolution at a 320Hz (OC) refresh rate to enjoy ultra-high frame rates.
The display covers 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut and is VESA DisplayHDR™ 400 certified.
