HP has listed the OmniBook 3 Laptop Next Gen AI 14-hz0188nr (Part Number: DQ2E8UA#ABA, UPC 826581390633), powered by the Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor, in the US online. The price starts at $599.99 ( current selling price at the time of writing; the US MSRP is $729.99). If you are buying via Amazon US, it will ship to customers starting September 2, 2026.
This is the Nouvelle Silver version of a model we have already covered. We wrote about the HP OmniBook 3 14-hz0488nr (DT4E9UA#ABA) in Starlit Blue last month, and the two SKUs specs are identical on paper apart from the colour, the part number and the UPC. Same processor, same 8GB of memory, same 256GB drive, same 2K OLED panel, same ports, same 60Wh battery, same 1.42 kg weight. The one difference worth knowing is on pricing: the hz0488nr carries a US list price of $749.99, while the hz0188nr has an MSRP of $729.99. Both are available to buy at $599.99 at the time of writing.
Let’s check out the specs and features of the 14-hz0188nr model.
It is powered by the Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor, an 8-core chip clocked at up to 2.97 GHz, paired with a Qualcomm Hexagon™ NPU rated at 45 NPU TOPS. It is branded as a Microsoft Windows Copilot+ PC. Graphics is handled by integrated Qualcomm Adreno™ GPU, which is suitable for everyday tasks and video playback. There is no discrete Nvidia Laptop Graphics Card available on this model.
It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR5x-8448 MT/s memory, onboard – soldered, no empty slots which means you can’t add more memory. For storage, it has 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD, and you are also elligible to get 100 GB of Dropbox storage for 3 months from the date of registration.
The display is a 14-inch diagonal 2K OLED panel with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 in a 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports 0.2 ms response time, and offer Ultra Wide Viewing Angles, has a micro-edge BrightView finish and Low Blue Light technology. The maximum brightness supported by this screen is 300 nits, which is plenty bright for indoor use, and it covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut offering good color reproduction. Screen-to-body ratio is 88%.
HP markets the panel as 2K OLED, and the resolution it publishes for it is 1920 x 1200.
There is no touchscreen functionality listed for this model.

When it comes to webcam, it features a Full HD 1080p camera with HDR auto switch, temporal noise reduction and integrated dual array digital microphones. A physical camera privacy shutter and a mic mute key are both fitted, and the machine carries Trusted Platform Module (Firmware TPM) support along with HP BIOS Protection. There is no fingerprint reader or IR camera listed.
Audio is handled by dual speakers with HP Audio Boost.
Wireless connectivity is handled by a Qualcomm® FastConnect™ 6900 Wi-Fi 6E (2×2) and Bluetooth® 5.3 combo card. No newer Wi-Fi 7 available on this model.
HP has equipped it with a 3-cell, 60 Wh Li-ion polymer battery and includes a 65 W USB Type-C® GaN power adapter with a removable 2-metre USB-C cable. The Amazon listing rates battery life at up to 41 hours and 45 minutes ( this is HP’s claims under ideal testing conditions, the real world usage can vary vastly ), and fast charge restores roughly 50% in 45 minutes.
The keyboard is a full-size darker nouvelle silver opaque keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel and an HP Imagepad. The keycaps are made using recycled plastic.
14-hz0188nr weighs 1.42 kg (2 kg packed) and measures 31.45 x 22.6 x 1.48 cm. The finish is Nouvelle silver aluminum, with an anodized cover and base and a matte paint keyboard frame. It ships with Windows 11 Home.
It is EPEAT® Silver with Climate+ registered and ENERGY STAR® certified. HP covers it with a 1-year limited hardware warranty and 1-year limited technical support for software and initial setup from the date of purchase.
